Ingredients
  

For the Churro Pastry

  • 150 ml Water (½ cup + 2 tbsp)
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon White Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Canola Oil
  • 60 grams All Purpose Flour (½ cup)

For the Cinnamon Sugar

  • 100 grams White Sugar (½ cup)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Prep

  • Gather all of your ingredients and equipment before starting.

To Make the Churro Bites

  • In a saucepan, bring water, salt, sugar, and oil to a boil, stirring to dissolve.
  • Remove from heat and stir in flour until it forms a smooth ball. Allow cooling for 10 minutes.
  • Place churro dough into a piping bag with a closed star tip and pipe 2-inch bites onto parchment paper.

Frying the Churro Bites

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 2 minutes.
  • Add half of the churro bites to the tray and spray with cooking oil, ensuring room for air circulation.
  • Fry for 10 minutes, turning at the 5-minute mark.

To Make the Cinnamon Sugar

  • Mix white sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl. Toss churro bites in the mixture after frying.
  • Repeat the frying process with remaining bites.
  • Serve warm with caramel sauce.

Notes

These churro bites are best enjoyed fresh. Store in an airtight container on the counter for 1-2 days. No need to chill before frying.
