- 6 slices thick, smoky bacon chopped into small pieces
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 large green cabbage chopped
- ½ teaspoon creole seasoning
- Salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- red pepper flakes to taste
In a large skillet over medium to high heat, add in the chopped bacon, onions, & garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the bacon is cooked through.
Reduce heat to medium low and add the cabbage to the skillet. Stir and add in the creole seasoning, and salt & pepper to taste. Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes, removing the lid to stir occasionally.
Once cabbage is cooked, remove lid and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
