Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Neutral flavored oil recommended
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar Look for in international aisle or Asian grocer
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use regular, light, or Japanese soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar Any type works, white or brown is fine
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Optional, for extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced Freshly chopped preferred
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds Toasted for additional flavor suggested
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Whisk vegetable oil, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, sesame seeds, salt and pepper together in a small bowl, or pour into a bottle/jar and shake.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  • Use immediately or store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

Soy sauce can be substituted with tamari for gluten-free. Additional flavors can be added like ginger or daikon, and dressing can be stored separately for portable salads.
